Join the call from the Gulf Restoration Network to tell EPA that they must complete necessary toxicity testing on dispersants before unleashing them into our environment and communities.
During the 2010 Oil Disaster, BP applied 1.84 gallons of Corexit dispersant, stating that "it's as safe as Daw dishwashing liquid". However, recent reports highlight the toxicity and potential health impacts of dispersants in general, and Corexit in particular. Despite clear legal requirements for comprehensive testing, EPA has failed to conduct this testing on dispersants currently approved for use.
