Posner, Assistant Secretary, Bureau of Democracy, Human Rights, and Labor to the American Society of International Law on March 24, 2011, commemorating the 70 Anniversary of The Four Freedoms speech delivered by President Franklin Delano Roosevelt in which he affirmed that liberty rested on freedom of speech and expression, freedom to worship, freedom from fear, and freedom from want.
