Join the ICCPR Taskforce for a training call Wednesday, July 24th at 3:00PM Eastern. Following up from our previous June 6th call, Introduction to Shadow Reporting, the first hour of the call will be dedicated to providing an update on the review process and how groups are working together and giving a detailed walk through, using the shadow report template, of how to actually write your report. Using specific examples, we will identify the relevant treaty articles, how they relate to specific issue areas, and where the issue is mentioned in past reports or by other United Nations bodies. The second hour will be dedicated to answering your questions on the specific issues on which you are working and how you would, for example, frame your argument or which UN bodies have addressed the issue. We will have experts on the treaty and veterans of the reporting process available to answer your questions.

If you have been interested in the ICCPR reporting process, but thought it overwhelming, this is the training that will break it down for you and get you prepared to fully engage. To help us tailor the training to your specific needs, please send us any questions you may have on writing your report, making your argument, working in coalitions, or anything else that is of interest to you. You may send your questions to iccpr@ushrnetwork.org.

Please contact info@ushrnetwork.org with any questions or concerns.
