A three-day training aims to engage community based organizations in the local implementation of international treaties and connect a global process to promote change in local communities. Components of the training include:

  • Learning from successful local strategies for local implementation of human right treatises
  • Meeting with United Nations experts and international NGOs from the Global South
  • Developing strategies for achieving racial justice in the US using CERD*
  • Sharing strategies for organizing using a human rights framework
  • Networking with a dynamic and diverse group of human rights advocates.

WILD for Human Rights & the Human Rights Project has engaged in extensive human rights education, training, and implementation to improve the quality of life for diverse communities across the U.S. We are delighted to invite grassroots advocates working on social justice issues as health, poverty, labor, education, economic justice, women’s rights, immigrant rights, and other issues important to your communities to attend the training and help build a national human rights movement in the US.

**Please note that no more than two participants per organization can be accommodated. Priority will be given to community groups in the following regions: Upper Mid West, West Coast and East Coast Regions.

***We offer a limited amount of partial scholarship to off set the costs associated with the training.
