Karmen is based out of the Metro Atlanta area and works with USHRN as its event planner, focusing on its Biennial Conference. She has over 25-years of driving solutions for clients through event execution that delivers strategic messaging, brand identity and business development programs. She has a diverse background across business industry and various marketing functions. One of her passions has been working with diverse audiences and organizations with social missions. Acknowledged as a highly effective leader with ability to manage client relationships, large-scale projects, direct reports and cross-functional teams, she is a skilled, events professional, integrating sound business principles, technology and trends into the marketplace.
Karmen holds a B.S. in computer science from Spelman College and an MBA in marketing from Clark Atlanta University. Her hobbies and special interests include tennis, mystery novels, travel and handmade arts/craft projects. She has a special interest in youth initiatives and has volunteered countless hours working with high school business programs such as FBLA, Junior Achievement and community service projects. Her goal is empowering students to excel within any professional realm.
